Have you ever wondered why God the Father chose not to reveal Himself directly to humanity? When Moses asked to see God's glory, the Lord answered:
“You cannot see My face;
for no man shall see Me, and live.”
Exodus 33:20 NKJV
We often focus on survivability should we see Him. Yet the heart of God has always been to make Himself known. We see Him revealed in creation, each other, and through His Son. When Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father,” Jesus replied:
“He who has seen Me has seen the Father.” John 14:9 NKJV
The invisible God became visible through Jesus Christ. Let's pause and consider what that means.
The Father, possessing all authority, glory, and power, willingly chose to reveal Himself through another. Jesus, in perfect obedience, repeatedly said He spoke only what the Father told Him to speak and did only what the Father showed Him to do.
What incredible trust. What perfect unity. What beautiful humility. This pattern didn't end with Jesus. Before returning to heaven, Jesus entrusted His ministry to His followers:
“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations... and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18–20 NKJV
Do you see the progression? The Father revealed Himself through the Son. The Son now continues to reveal Himself and the Father through His Church by the Holy Spirit.
Father → Son → Church
That means every act of compassion, every prayer offered in faith, every word of encouragement, and every expression of God's love becomes an opportunity for people to encounter Jesus through us.
We are His hands.
We are His feet.
We are even to be His voice.
People may never physically see Jesus as the disciples once did, but they can experience His love, His compassion, His healing, and His presence through those who faithfully follow Him. What an incredible privilege. What an incredible responsibility.
At Christian Healing Center, this is more than our mission—it is our calling. Every time we pray with someone, listen to a hurting heart, or walk alongside a person seeking healing, we have the opportunity to represent Christ to them.
May we never take that privilege lightly. May we faithfully reflect His heart, His compassion, and His love to everyone He places in our path. It truly is an honor, a responsibility, and a joy to be His hands and feet.
